Sir,
Go to the front of the website here, look on the left and find a picture of the car like you are wanting to run. Click on that picture and it will take you to all of the rules for your class.
Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

Before building a car for next year, you'd better make sure the place is going to be open next year...Don't know how they can survive with not many cars or spectators.

Re: 4 speed teck queston

Now that was a right intelligent answer Suds. You tell him not to build a car and then complain about the car count being down. Don't you think we need these young men building those cars over the winter so we will have a good count next spring and each car built and raced will bring crew, fans, family, co-workers, etc with them and that gives the track a chance to build up the fans in the stands who will bring friends which sells tickets - see how it works. Lets be "POSITIVE" that these boys are trying real hard to make a go of it for us and do what we can to help!

Re: 4 speed teck queston

I gotta agree with both Suds and Marshall here. Yes, we gotta make sure the track will survive, but what better way than to build more cars? If there are more cars, then there will be more racers, more racers means more fans, which means more $$ for the tracks.
Personally, what I have read above and am under the impression of, "future racecar driver" should get the rules for all of the local tracks and build a car that can run at any or all of those tracks as per their rules. If you have any questions like what you have asked above, I am sure that either Billy or the Tech man, Joe Meyer, can get you all of the correct information that you will need.
Good luck and lets all say a prayer for the survival of our local tracks.

Marshall, you have a point.....I retract my last statement.
:)
Tom had the right idea, build the car so you can go to other tracks too. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Everyone wins
Future racecar driver, keep us posted on the progress of your car! :) And ask questions, ask questions, ask questions......:) Someone here will be able to help you out, or steer you in the right direction

Re: 4 speed teck queston

What I was thinking, and I know it takes a little more money for each driver to do this, but is to build your car to the best available, but to where you can make some small changes as needed to run at several tracks. If one track has a rule where you can run specific items, but two or three other tracks say you can't run that same item, have it to where you can change that item out and back in at the specified tracks. Be sure to keep up on all the tech specs and rules at each track though, as each track may differ a little for some things.
I know this is an extreem in comparisons, but if you buy a 49 cc scooter, you will get great gas mileage, but you sure aren't going to commute back and forth to St Louis on it, so you get a more suitable vehicle for more than one condition. Same for the race cars, more variations has got to be better for more tracks, opening up your options to run at more tracks and win more $$ as well as races.
Just my thoughts,
