On Sunday 30th July 2006 our much loved family cockatoo 'Rocky' took flight out of a carelessly opened window. He is a Tame Hand Reared Rose Breasted Cockatoo (Galah). discription:- White on top of head, including crest, rose/pink face, neck & chest, grey wings and back. (see photo's) He is ringed and loves nuts, specially almonds. We live in Nuneaton. Warwickshire. To get and possibly keep his attention, call his name or/and wolf whistle him, he will answer with a high pitched cheep cheep, he is approachable and if you get near enough he will step onto you hand then climb up to your shoulder. He also love loads of fuss by stroking his head lightly.
