The Merse Do
Just like to thank John & Tracey for their part in organising 'A Night with The Merse' last night, and Dave W for an excellent speech which did the club proud. I gather the McCat now has the Merse's home phone number! Merse was excellent, and the 60 or so NASC members there I'm sure all enjoyed the evening. Those of you that missed it, well you should've been there . . . some of the tales Merse came out with were extraordinary, but having met him, completely believable. His descriptions of Perry Groves, Bergkamp, Anfield May '89 and dozens of other incidents were brilliant. Hopefully we'll do it again sometime. Cracking good night. M. |

well said mark and also a big thank you to dave whose speech was very enjoyable did us proud, and to tracey, john and everyone else involved in making it a night to remember i really enjoyed the evening and paul merson was an excellent speaker his tales were unbelievable and would make arsenes hair curl! and he was happy to answer your questions - mine was who should arsenal, buy and he replied a goalie a centre back, midfielder and forward all basic! and he only speaks the truth he said! i would recommend anyone going to the next one when it comes around - IAN WRIGHT WRIGHT would be brill too |

I echo all the previous comments and a vracking do it was.Merse was happy to sign as many bits and pieces that you had, and seemed a really genuine bloke who was very honest about his off field well documented battles.Glad I was there. |
