An Evening with The Merse

My sincere thanks go to John, Tracey and Mark for their part in organising a fantastic night out. Sprowston Manor was a fitting location for what was a top draw event, the entertainment matching the high expectations of those who attended.
I will be happy to write to Paul Weston, Sprowston Manor and The Notre Dame Prep School, on behalf of the Club, to thank them all for their contributions to a night that appears to have raised well into 4 figures (accurate figures will be feleased when known), 2/3rds of which will go to the Willow Foundation.
Our Members, who were present, were, as always, a credit to our Club, and the Merse was impressed with the representation, and your dedication to Our Club and to Arsenal. He really enjoyed the night too.
I was "brickin' it" during my speech, so if I waffled on I apologise, but thanks to those who said it came over ok !!
Thanks to all, once again. I felt privaliged to represent the Club as Chairman, and proud to be part of such a successful event.

Re: An Evening with The Merse

I thought the speech was very good Dave, I think Merson was more nervous than yourself,But what a night, it was great to see so many old faces there
So well done to all the members that contributed to a fantastic fund raising evening, to Dave for the speech,Tracy john & scarfy for organising it and everyone involved, we should do this more often.
Shame a few of the original members chose not to go, but that was there loss not ours.
Up the **** SHEP
ps how about having Micheal Thomas and Gareth Gates as a double act next year ?

Re: An Evening with The Merse

Apologies to Paul Watkins, who I called Weston (Got a mate called Paul Weston-sorry), and once again sincere thanks from the Committee and all our Members. I have had so much positive feedback, everyone really did have a fantastic night, and the money we made for Notre Dame and the Willow Foundation was a huge bonus.
Thanks once again,
Dave
