Flamster Departs to Milan

He's gone! On a free to boot!

There is a concern it will unsettle Cesc and Hleb (Hleb is rumoured to be off to Inter).

I hope Arsene has a plan B - which doesnt include TC!!!

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

Part of me says that if you don't want to play for the **** then sod off !!
Part of me says he was the best midfield player in the red shirt of Arsenal this season, so if he wants as much as Cesc, and Monsieur LeBoss won't spend the money he has got, then why not "invest" in the squad he has built ??
Wenger says he might offer TC one more year, to cover for Flamini..........jesus christ !!!!
I envisage a very long, and frustrating summer, watching our rivals spend money they haven't got, while we sit on our **** not spending the money we have (according to the Club, anyway) !!
I have been wrong before, and how I wish I am wrong this time !!

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

Oh here we go again.......it's all doom and gloom!

Any one remember how far behind Spurs we were going to be this season after they splashed out on Darren Bent?????? Or even Liverpool after they bought Torres and Babel?

Next season can't come soon enough for me, having seen the the kids coming through in the reserves, and if AW signs two players as he has said he will (in the same class as Eduardo and Sagna hopefully), we should be able to go even closer in the coming season - and who knows with a bit of luck, less injuries and referee decisions going our way in the big moments, we might get the silverware our football deserves.

A lot of people keep saying how we lack experience...if only we could find a cental midfielder who knows what it takes to win the PL, a World Cup winner and has vast experience in Europe. Maybe a Brazilian, around 30 years old. Oh we have one of those! But hey, at least it'd keep all the moaners happy!!!

Bye bye Flamini - if he's gone for money - then good ridence, you've shown the same lack of class as our former left back. A good season, but there are better players around.

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

I really dont blame Flamini, Wenger said he could leave last season and basically told him he wasnt needed. Now he's seen out his contract, and shown everyone what a good player he really is....

Everyone is saying its about money, who says he didnt make his mind up last summer when we messed him about?

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

Great posting Anders (as always). It's not been a bad season has it and we have respect.

As for Flamini, I think the reason he had a good season was that he was playing for a good contract elsewhere. Just a pity Diarra wasn't prepared to wait. If Song doesn't become a permanent fixture in the back four could he not play in midfield with Cesc?? I really rate the guy and he has excellent distribution.
Let's hope for early exits from France, Spain and Holland in the European Championships and give our boys a rest before the new season.

Keep the faith, the futire is Red with White sleeves.

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

Very mixed feelings on this one as this season he was one of the names you looked for on the team sheet but it has only been one season.OK you could argue the season he filled in for Cashley. Then i say to myself he is only 24 we should have done more to keep him..perhaps he feels he can turn around Milan Old Boys cause we made them look very ordinary in the CL.Dont worry Arsene will make a couple of signings and i like some of the names being branded around but this is not Le Boss's way i think he will have a few things up his sleeves not just his arms On Gilberto dont be so hard on the guy he has remained loyal and done ok of late so we could have worse squad players!! Finally Flamini lets hope you dont fall into the "What happened to them after they left Arsenal" money trap!!Thanks for your efforts lets move on!!

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

ok so flaminis gone!so what! ok he had a BRILLANT season, but was not obviously cometted to the club! and there is better midfielders out there, although i think diaby can be the new vieira, and denilson looks good when hes on top form.as for helb and cesc leaving no CHANCE!!!why is it when one player leaves everyone thinks others will follow! i think some of us PANIC too much! and on the striker front get DAVID VILLA IN!!!!! and keep bendtner hes getting better every game!hopefully hes starting to win all you doubters OVER!!! I BET NONE OF YOU WERE BOOING HIM SUNDAY.

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

some cracking points re flamster, but money is the key these days and i feel maybe he thought he had better chance of winning champs league at milan, but many leave and that is not always the case, as henry has found once again!

as for villa wenger has said he is not interested and villa has claimed if arsenal don't want him liverpool would be his next choice as he gets on well with torres, he would be great

there is rumour that krancjeur at portsmouth is coming to arsenal 4 12 million if hleb leaves and that is his dad saying that!! why not buy him even if hleb stays

wenger has said he is not in the market for a keeper, i disagree cos fabianski has potential but not finished article yet and is a risk, but i also still have doubts about almunia, so do the defence!!

i would like to see song play in midfield or just in front of back four, he really has come on in recent months from his spell with charlton and his impressive performances in african natiions. I think his assets are he does not get knocked off ball easily, passing. he could be great next to fabregas, pos a flamster 2, wenger he is wasted in defence

denilson and diaby have big seasons ahead of them, they both lack cesc's vision but will improve i hope, diaby is still a one half player 4 me and is wasted on the wing

interesting months ahead and lets hope some cash is splashed, foundations are there but bricks and mortar are needed now cos u can bet liverpool, chelski and manure will strengten

Re: Flamster Departs to Milan

I'm really disappointed at the Flamster leaving. He adds that little bit of 'Tony Adams' attitude to the team, and we could do with that from a few more of our gifted players.

But we are Arsenal and we'll get over it. Hopefully Diaby will be restored to the middle, because a left winger he certainly isn't. Stick him in the middle Arsene!
