Alotments
I have heard that some of the villagers are keen to find some land for alotments. My wife (Bridget) has spoken to someone on a local council, the councillor said to her, that they were looking for some land for alotments. In this day and age, I think that a good, tidy, well run area for alotments is a good idea. Is there anybody elso who is interested? I would like to collect a list/petition of villagers who would like an alotment, should land be found and the provision made. I understand that some legal preceedent exists, concerning a requirement of councils to provide alotments if the demand is made/found. The exact detail of this I am unaware of. Does anybody know? |

A possible site has been found, the next step is to set up an Allotment Association. We need to know how many people are interested, and the area required. Anyone interested in having an allotment in the village should either contact a Parish councillor or come to the next Parish Council meeting in the Village Hall at 7pm Wednesday July 30th |
