Recently saw him on 20/20 last week in Los angeles area tv..He mentioned that after his injury and the passing of his father he experienced extreme loss of appetite...FROM A VURAL INFECTION?? Does anyone know what viral infection, name? He said that foods tasted really bad as the result of the viral infection...

James Had the Zoster Virus. Or Shingles. I would suggest you get your dad to a doctor. They can treat that but it may be something different. Good Luck to you.
