Subject:   July CA Freedom is 56 days late

Message:   I just received the latest edition (July) of the California Freedom newspaper, a CALP membership entitlement.
The back page has a notice for the next LPC Executive Committee Meeting. It is going to be held on August 5th. Gee, that was only 20 days ago. Oops. I do note however that Mr. Cohen has a large color ad (most likely at no charge) ad in the center spread pages. How nice.

Receiving the July issue 6 days before September is intolerable and embarrassing. It is this kind of ineptitude which breeds negativity and apathy within our organization. (Of course the handlers of the person responsible are going to respond that it is all my fault that members are feeling negative about the CALP because I raise these issues. I fully anticipate it so bring it on).

Who is responsible for our Flagship Newspaper being habitually outdated?
That would be Mr. Bruce Cohen.

Mr. Cohen is our appointed Chairperson of the Member Communications Committee. He is responsible for overseeing the production of the party newspaper and any e-mail communications.

Mr. Cohen offers does not offer any explanation for this ongoing catastrophe or any other of his numerous bungles. Effectively communicating is not one of his attributes. Hence his roaring silence.

Our LPCA Chairman Aaron Starr also had his time wasted and looks foolish in his page 2 article as he pleads for Libertarians to run for local office. His last paragraph ends, “The filling period begins July 17 and ends August 11. Call right now.” The filing deadline closed 2 weeks ago. Page 3 lists all the people who gave money for Operation Breakthrough. Do you think they all have that warm fuzzy feeling their money was well spent on a well thought out campaign based on the lateness of CA Freedom?

Perhaps someone on the Ex-Com can enlighten the membership why they continue to allow Mr. Cohen to be Chair of the Member Communications Committee after he repeatedly demonstrates he is unable to perform the basic tasks required. One must assume a plurality of the Ex-Com APPROVE of Mr. Cohen’s record of service.

How pathetic it will be when our members receive the next election results 2 months after the election.

Members would be wise to review Mr. Cohen’s long, dismal record of blunders when he again runs for a seat within our CALP organization.

Save the LP!
Get rid of Bruce.
