As the NFC season winds down I would like to take this time to introduce our team and extend an invitation to those who may be looking to continue to play.
We are the London Silverbacks and as members of the North American Football League (NAFL), the world's largest football league, we play men's American rules tackle football from July through Sept. with playoffs running until our championship game November 15.
We are located in London, ON and play at TD Waterhouse stadium on the University of Western Ontario campus Saturday nights, 7:00pm. All of our remaining road games will be in the U.S including trips to Michigan and NY and the team does provide transportation by coach as well as emergency medical insurance.
This is our fifth season of play and we are coming off a very successful year which saw us capture our first title in Las Vegas over a team from Maryland. This year we are off to a good start going 3-0 and outscoring our opponents 108-13.
We are looking for individuals who play for the love of the game, bring a good sense of professionalism (no "gridiron thugs"), and are committed to being part of a team. As the official minor-league affiliate to the Toronto Argonauts (CFL) we take great pride in our efforts to ensure a positive and professional environment wherever possible.
Our signing deadline is Aug. 23.
