!st Goldstock
Wow! We are so excited. Registered the other day and we can't wait. We're ready to go now. Can other breeds go besides Goldens? I know that may be a stupid question but my sister has Boston Terriers and she would love to go. Thanks, Trudi and Clowey |

This will be our third Goldstock - but our first since 2002. In previous years - I have seen other breeds there. The last year we went - my sister brought along her Border Collie. But if someone else more in the know how could verify if its still kosher - Id go with that. |

I'd say 98% of the dogs are goldens. I've seen golden mixes, labs, aussies and a gorgeous great dane. The dogs are welcome anywhere in the camp except the dining hall. If your dog loves water, be sure to check out the lake. Don't be surprised by grit, sand and lots of dog fur in your cabin. You may want to bring a crate or ex-pen with you. Oh yeah and lots of towels ! |

Other dogs all welcome as long as they're friendly. We've had Aussies, maltese, newfies, Danes, and various others. |

I totally forgot about this little forum. Last year was my first time. You will have a wonderful time, guaranteed :) Other dogs are always welcome, as long as they are friendly and get along with other dogs, as gail mentioned earlier. I had a hard time getting around last year, so didn't get to enjoy it as much. But this year my friend & I are getting a golf cart to get around. It'll be her first time too and we're both mobility impaired. We are looking forward to meeting old friends and making new ones. See you all there!!! |

You will have a ball! Make sure you stop by the "Geriatric" cabin/ward. Walk out the back of the Activity center (where all the rescue booths are) and look down. There sill be a cabin with a huge flag on the roog (we don't know how we're going to get it there, but that's our plan.) If no flag on roof, it will be the very patriotic looking cabin with a table out front full of bottles and surrounded by chairs. Stop on by. There's almost always somebody there. Say hi, introduce yourself and sis and dogs and have a drink. We're very friendly. In our cabin we have a lab, 3 aussies and 5 goldens. So, yeah, other breeds can definitely come. And the canine Olympics is open to all golden hearted dogs.

Hey Geriatrics! Thanks for the invite!!! It was so sweet. I,too,am ceritifiable. In fact they think I am crazy at work, I have one photo of my 18 year old daughter and the rest are my golden. We cannot wait. I am a little nervous driving alone from Northern Jersey. I am directionally chanllenged. What should I bring??? I guess I can sign Clowey up for the Olympics at your cabin? It seems like everyone is so friendly. We can't wait!!! Peace,Love, and Goldens Goldstock or Bust Trudi and Clowey |

Trudy and Clowey, I saw that you are driving in from Northern New Jersey and are a bit nervous about the directions. I'm not sure which way you were planning to go, but my friends and I will be leaving from Orange County, NY (Washingtonville, to be exact). If that's not too far out of your way, you are more than welcome to meet up with us and join the caravan if you like. We're even picking up Jeff Lancaster (coming all the way from the U.K.) at a train station and bringing him along. The more the merrier. If you want to join us, email me and we can make arrangements to meet up. If not, we'll see you at Goldstock! |

What time are you NJersey-ans planning on arriving? I am coming from central NJ and am planning about 3 1/2 hour drive. I want to leave by one, unless people will be there earlier! So if anyone gets this message, let me know! Thanks!
