Re: Goldstock

We just went up for the day today (Sunday) - we were soppose to have come Saturday morning, but emotionally we just couldnt do it. We lost our 13 year old Golden, Sheila, on May 30th and havent taken any family outings since then - we just werent ready to take one now. Just coming up for the day was hard enough - but it was really nice to be there for a few hours and have our 5 year old Golden, Allie, swim in the frozen tundra.

I havent been on the H@G email list for a long time now - but I wanted to say hello to the super nice folks we very briefly chatted with down at the lake. They had three very beautiful Goldens. One of them was "extra" handsome riding in his red wagon. He was the 14 year old they just adopted 6 months prior. Anyway - before we started walking back up my husband and I watched them take this special guy for ball throws in the lake with the rest of their clan. It really touched our hearts. We love Old Gold.

I also wanted to apologize to Laurie Collins for not being able to make it for the CGC - I hope we did not hold anything up.

We hated to miss Sheilas name in the candle ceremony but we had alot of fun for the few hours we were there mixed in with alot of hard emotions. Well try again for a weekend gig next year.

Re: Goldstock

Glad you came and really sorry about your loss. I saw the dog in the wagon too. Wish we could have talked. Take care.

Re: Goldstock

Now back in NYC and despite the weather, again, I had a great time. It was good to see friends, old and new, 2 legged and 4, and apologies to those that I did not get to say "Goodbye" to personally before all departed. Now looking forward to saying "Hello" again in 2007 !
