Make your own mind up...
Just spotted this little gem on the league website: HLCC 222 – 6, Liam Ryan 49, Mark Vigar 36, Barry Pitcher 32, Jon Watts 32 Watchet 225 – 9, C.Strong 96,A.Pyne 44, Will Edwards 6-50, Damo Merry 2-65 Huish had be satisfied with 19 points, as what appeared to be a winning position after making a good total of 222 for 6, they had the visitors reeling at 58-6 in the 15th over, with Will Edwards taking all 6 wickets to fall, however enter batting at number 7, C.Strong a usual first team player, to make a hard hit 96 including 17 fours along with Pyne 44 the game was turned on its head as they compiled a 99 partnership for the 7th wicket, before Strong was bowled by Merry, Pyne with the tail continued to keep Huish at bay, finally reaching the target in the 43rd over. During the innings 13 year-old Jon Watts was no balled not once but twice for not advising his bowling action by the standing Watchet umpire!!!! |
