My family and another woke up on Nov. 9 , 2007 adjacent to Ocotillo Wells State Vehiclular Recreation Area. Calfornia. We go to the same area all the time. To large hills away there were two large brown things. I asked what the heck they were. At first my husband said rocks then a 10 year old boy with us said " It's two birds kissing". Sure enough it was two birds. They stood atop a hill touching at the beaks. They had regular bird shaped boddies. The only thing is that the hill was several hundred yards away and the birds were huge. I ran for my camera and when I returned they were gone. I found out today that the boys mother actually saw them fly away. I drilled her on what they looked like but she said "birds". No help there.
I have plans to take a picture of the hill with my 6'4" husband on top next tme we go. Just so I have some sort of comparison.
I guess my question is, is anyoe familar with this area of sothern Ca? have Thunderbirds been sighted in this area before? I would love to know. |
