Fire damaged f100

I had just started dissembling a 56 3/4 ton long bed truck last summer when my barn burned and the truck was destroyed. After the fire,I was going to use the cab (which had little prior rust) and the chassis, but a friend said the heat had wrecked the metal. Wouldn't the chassis still be OK? Is there any value in the chassis with title or should it be scrapped?

Thanks for any advice/direction.
I'm in Kingston, WA.
