I am having Java Script Issues. When I copy and paste java Script into my Editor I receive HTML script only. I tried editing in NotePad first, and still receive the same HTMl code error. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
We need a little more information to give a decent answer. Things like the editor your using, a URL for your site, and what kind of errors are you getting.
If you are using the Website Wizard to create your web site, a recent change has banned the use of Javascript in their editors. They only allow Javascript that is specific to their services. But if your using something else, let us know, and we might be able to help.
Thank you for the response. I am currently using BraveNet Java Script Codes. I tried adding in BraveNet Marquee Codes and Buttons. For some reason, these cut and paste codes are not working. I also tried using a not so smart editor (NotePad) which also did nothing. Are all Java Script codes being discontinued. Any help would be appreciated?
I doubt that all Javascript codes are going to be discontinued. They are still going to be offering the Javascripts in your Bravenet account Free Resource area. As far as I know, the Website Wizard is the only place where you can not use them. So, if you are using the Wizard, forget about using any of Javascript offered in the Free Resource area.
Some of their services use a bit of Javascript code and the Wizard's editor is configured to accept them.
As far as notepad, I wouldn't use that on a bet. If you want a decent text editor, try downloading Notespad. There is a very slight difference in the name, but a big difference in operation, from the standard Notepad. Like editing multiple files, spell checking, DOS/Unix conversions, etc...
One better that this would be HTML-Kit. This is a free text based web page editor. It's great if you want to learn a little HTML. I use this one most of the time.
Now, none of this really fixes your problem because you still haven't given us a URL or told us exactly what editor your using. Unless we can see how you are trying to implement the Javascript code, we can even hazard a guess.
