I had a 2005 to trade in on a 2008, the loan payment still owing was 10.850. The new car was approx 19.000. I still do not understand the dealer financing. They said the car was worth 22,000--- and trade in was 10,900--- so now my cost to finance is 13,377 plus what I already owe which is 10,850--- I do not still know if I got a fair price... amount to finance works out now to 24,277, so it sounds like I paid the same amount as if I did not trade anything in, I still do not know ,,, Help, Trading in is really complicated,,,,

When you traded in your car the dealer paid off the lien which was the same amount they allowed for your trade, so yes looking at it your way,,, you did not have a trade.

You did not mention Interest rate,,,, but total to be financed with tax diff and Interest rate $24.277,,, I assume 60 months ?
