Finally I htink i found something that might just get me to work. Looked for an mechanic to check it out but he says he's just gonna listen to the engine and check the transmission and thats it. he's gonna charge me 50$ and He didnt say anything about Compression testing or analysis or anything. This civics been driven 205,000km and the owner is 2nd owner and willing to negotiate in price to about 1700$.

Do you think I should still go to a mechanic that would do things properly with compression testing of engine etc?
