I really don't care which models have a high repair risk if you're buying a used car, there is a lemon in every batch, condition is the only factor that come into play, especially in the price range you're looking.
Let's assume you found the 2001 Saab highly rated - Does it make a difference ? if it's been poorly looked after, a Saab with 150K can be a better value than another same with 75K.
I like Saab - Volvo - BMW and other luxury cars in that class, but would I buy one at even $10,000 ? NO,,, my number 1 fear, should vehicle have issues, you better have deep pockets.
