VIN Numbers

Hi Ray,
Still on the Auto hunt. Rounded down my choices to either the Volvo S60 or S80. Your website has given me so much valuable info & I thank you so much for sharing your expertise.

Another question that I have is should all the Vin numbers be checked on the car? May sound crazy, but I did read that somewhere in my searches.

Thanks again, John.

Re: VIN Numbers

I don't fully understand what you read somewhere, but I will provide you with 2 answers.

1, The Vin # posted on the front of dash on drivers side, should match the Vin # posted in the door frame of the driver side.

2, your question is much appreciated as I will add some future content to the website about how to read Vin #'s, such as, the 10th diget tells the year, the last 6 digets tell the production #, all other #'s have input such as , engine size, model, trim,
