New truck price

Hi Ray, love the site!

I'm buying a new truck, and i'm just wondering what is a good price i should ask for with the one i'm looking at. It's a 2010 GMC Sierra SLE 1500 Extended Cab 4-wheel drive. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The base retail price they ask is $37,910, however i have $5,162 worth of options added. They include:

- locking rear differential $410
- engine block heater $75
- h.d.(heavy duty) cooling package $315
- vortec 5.3L V8 engine, act. fuel mgmt $1,335
- automatic transmission $260
- 17" aluminum wheels $300
- interior convenience package w/ auto climate control $1,120
- tailgate equip. package $125
- 17" all-terrain tires $320
- h.d. trailering equipment $335
- fabric protection $99
- xzilon protection $399
- wheel locks $70

Grand Total retail list price of the truck (including $1350 destination charge) is $44,422 + taxes + admin.

Right now, without having actually sat down & really started dealing serious numbers, they've made me an offer of $33105 + taxes & admin (Canadian dollars of course).

So i'm just wondering what is a good number i should ask for with this new truck? Thanks Ray!

Jack

Re: New truck price

Buying a new vehicle getting the best price is easy compared to pre - owned, shop other dealers with the $33,105 in your back pocket or go Internet quotes.

I highly recommend getting Internet new car quotes, unfortunately in Canada this type service is not free, but worth the few bucks.
In website navigate to " Canadian Invoice New Car Prices " go shopping with those prices, and I will be interested to know final price. ? I will be surprised if you beat the price down by more than a couple hundred bucks.

Re: New truck price
