So i bought a car off a guy names mike. come to find out the car is not in his name. so i went to dmv and they said the original owner sold it to someone who sold it to mike but neither of them put it in there. dmv said the original owner released liability to the first person they sold it to and thats who i would have to get the bill of sale from. but they wont give me any information on the person so i can contact them. I contacted the original owner and she does not have any information for the person either. So im wondering how can i get that persons information so i can get them to fill out a bill of sale. or is there a way to get it into my name without having that info because no one seems to know it.
