Re: What should I make of this?

Chances are very good that they did nothing more than shuffle their inventory. When I was the GM of a big store for Asbury in a market area where they had 8 different franchises we would meet monthly and buy/sell the cars that had been languishing on our agings and get some fresh 'non sellers' I would tend to be skeptical of this vehicle and would not buy it without having it inspected by your own person. Just depends what make model of car it is as to whether or not any concern is justified but the fact that it appeared across town on another lot belonging to the same dealer only tells you that for whatever reason the car didn't work at the store it was at. This happens to very good cars that don't fit into the dealers inventory mix very well (or at all) it also happens to cars with issues, cars with no a/c and cars painted pink. It may not be red flag material but is certainly worthy of yellow flag consideration...good luck!
