Re: Rubbish Website

Matt, Thanks for taking the time, it's refreshing having a post from the other side of the fence. I own homes in both Canada and the US being very financially independent by knowing how to have taken people to the cleaners , I am not proud of my accomplishments but it's bread and butter on the table, you on the other hand should perhaps think about getting into another field of business, you are negative and would most likely not have lasted to long aboard my ship, I will explain why.

You say I worked in the industry when this was rife and the dealer margins were a lot bigger then than they are now " lol " you want cheese with that whine ? nothing has changed there are the pro's today making $200K a year, and the run of the mill like you using every excuse in the book as to why I am not an ace " I am guessing " you're only taking home between $40K and 60K. which is an average wage today selling cars.

Your statement " To all the people buying cars just be nice and we will be nice and you will get a good deal " lol " Please Matt, educated consumers whom have done homework on this site knows that line is a one way street.

PS,,, if my name was Steve Thompson I would fire you for having a negative outlook " don't make excuses like saying this is 2012,,, and I made my easy money yesteryear,,, I would have been more polite would you have used words like you don't agree - but no I am a joke.

I agree 100% with your statement, but I am retired now and can afford to let the cat out of the bag, hopefully with a few pointers on this website that may help some consumers along just getting a fair deal without getting scammed.

Re: Rubbish Website

This site is far from rubbish. In fact it should been seen as the total opposite. I some how doubt that Matthew is even making the $30-$60k you have given him credit for Ray. I have been in the business over 10 years and have seen many like Matthew. With attitudes like this, he can forget about lasting in this industry unless he has a tolerance for Kraft dinner and such things. After reading this website from start to finish. I can't believe it is free. I have yet to find something this site has not covered. Keep up the good work here, as I believe a informed customer is much more rewarding doing a deal with than not. I can still make my money on the less informed.

Re: Rubbish Website

lol. As a college student, I am really glad that I found this website. The content coincides with my mere car shopping experience flawlessly. It is a perfect source for both information and entertainment. It provides inspiration for my presentation about car shopping to a small class while the ideas presented here, especially the dealer negotiation part really catches my attention with my personal experience. It kind of explains why they were religiously giving me all those reasons to buy and "do it right now". At first, I thought I was being treated well, and now I realize I was just in the middle of a reality tv show. This website is priceless. I don't understand why people hate so much. Thank you!
