HI Ray, I just read, on one of your replies, that buying uncertified is considered "as is". The dealer stated that they performed a 172 point inspection but they never certify their vehicles; said they offer extended warranties that can be purchased. He mentioned that this was their practice because they are a neighborhood dealership and cannot compete with larger dealerships in the area; I am buying in Houston, Texas. I plan to have an independent mechanic inspect it.

I have only talked with them on the phone and have not test driven the vehicle yet because I want to have my info intact before I show up.

Please explain because it is confusing.
