i just wanted to clarify my question: what im trying to say is should you avoid all materialistic love no matter if it helps you learn about being selfless and other good qualities for the sake of God??
Can you only have one and not the other?? cuz i don't think that one can have a good relationship with God if they are always governed by this materialistic love for the opposite gender. But then this could be argued that people that are married have both types of relationships and commitments.
