This just in from Dead Pets's manager. This Saturday's gig will still be going ahead with a replacement band.

'You may have seen on The Dead Pets website that Sweeney was rushed to hospital last Thursday night with DVT in his right shoulder. For a while it looked like he would have his right arm amputated. They managed to save it, but he has lost a lot of use in it and has to start relying more on the left arm.

We had to cancel last weekend's gigs but waited until today before deciding on this weekend and although he will be released in the next few days he
has to rest for another week which means they can't do Bath on Saturday.

Really sorry about this, but there is **** all any of us can do and obvioulsy we cannot do the gig without him. Poor ****er is on rat poison for three months to thin his blood and can't drink or smoke in that time.'

Jeezus ****in Christ, give him all the best from Far-Cue, that is awful news.
We have a gig on Saturday in Bristol, and were gonna turn it down to come to the gig, since the Dead Pets were so good when we supported them in the Bierkeller.
Good luck finding another band Lee, i know you probably have 1000s pestering you for gigs, but it'll have to be a good lot to fill the Pet's shoes.
