mineral book wantedd

Dr. Getty,
I am trying to learn more about nutrition but the books I have been able to locate have very little information on vitamins and minerals. I would love to find a book that had a chapter on each vitamin and mineral. Do you know of such a book? Thanks!

Where are you from? Reading, PA

Re: mineral book wantedd

Hi Trinity,

No, I haven’t seen any equine nutrition books that dedicate an entire chapter to each nutrient. I am currently writing a book on feeding horses for various conditions and life stages, and I will include a chapter on supplements, however, that will be a while before it’s available.

Have you seen “Understanding Equine Nutrition” by Karen Briggs? She does have information on individual vitamins and minerals.

If you have a specific question about a particular vitamin or mineral, I’d be pleased to help you.

Thanks so much for writing.
