help with growth and stress

helo i have a 14hh coloured xfrench trotter cob. she is very forward going and gets worked up easily. i do like her the way she is but as she is only a youngster i wonder if i could give her any supliment to help her with her stress and her growth. I feed her on mollichop and allen and paige quiet mix. thanks jodie

Hi Jodie,

To decrease her stress, you will want to reduce or even eliminate any grain or sweet feed. Mollichop contains molasses, so I would suggest that you replace it with a chaff that is not sweetened.

In addition, you will quiet her nervous system down by giving her a B complex vitamin preparation.

As far as growth is concerned, make sure that she is getting a mixture of grass and legume hays – so offer her grass hay or pasture and add some Lucerne to the mixture.
