In school right now we are doing a project where we must discribe the nutrition of a type of horse that we've picked. I haven't been able to find anything on feeding an 18 year old Missouri Fox Trotter. Please help me!

Re: 18 year old horse nutrition (missouri trotter)

Hello Natalie,

The Missouri Fox Trotter does not have any nutritional needs that are different from other horses their size and body type. This type of horse is strong and has good endurance on long distances. Its characteristic gait comes from inbreeding and adding Saddlebred blood.

So, you can use general equine nutrition principles when feeding this horse.

All the best,
