feeding paprekia

hi i was just wondering why do some people feed their horses paprekia? i'v heard that it is banned for shows, why is this? is it harmfull to the horses health? does it effect their performance? hope you can answer my questions soon.

Hi Vanessa,

Some people feed paprika because it seems to deepen the coat's color. From a nutritional perspective, it should not be a problem, however, too much may cause gastric upset.
