6yr.old with no go

Hi Dr. Getty,
What would recommend for a 6yr.old Morgan with no get up and go.She is a great horse and sound, but prefers to walk everywhere. If we want to trot she will give a little crow kick ( the kids love it ) but I don't.I just give her alfalfa and pasture.

Re: 6yr.old with no go

Hi Gladys,

Well, assuming that there are no medical issues relating to her reduced energy, she would likely benefit from a B Complex vitamin. The B vitamins are involved in increasing the amount of energy production from her feed. B-Plex is worth considering.

Keep me posted,
