arthritis

Dr.Getty,
My sister in laws horse is a 10yr old warmblood that has arthritis in his front leg. He is bascically unridable after about 1/2 an hour he is swollen and lame.Would MSM be good for him she would really like to be able to use him for short rides,could you recommend something for him.

Hi Jenni,

He would very likely benefit from a joint supplement. MSM is part of the picture, but he also needs glucosamine, chondroitin, and even hyaluronic acid. My recommendation would be ActiFlex -- either the ActiFlex 4000 liquid or the ActiFlex powder.

Please let me know how he does after being on the supplement for a few weeks.
