Beet Pulp for Energy???

Hi Dr. Getty - Soooo very happy to have you to ask these questions. Would giving Whiskey Beet Pulp give him energy? He has been on the Ration Plus for 3 weeks know and we are seeing a big difference in his huge belly, it's really gone down like you said it would, but I read on another post that you could add beet pulp for energy. If so, how much?

Where are you from? Illinois

Re: Beet Pulp for Energy???

Hi Vicky,

Certainly -- beet pulp is an excellent source of energy (calories) that is safe to feed. You can substitute a similar amount of beet pulp for what you were feeding in grain. You do not need to moisten it. There should be fresh water near by.

Best regards,
