flax meal

How much flax meal would I feed my horse along with free choice grass hay? I have started feeding Accel daily. How do I introduce beet pulp to him, how much a day would he need instead of grain?

Re: flax meal

Hi Sara,

The exact amount, of course, would depend on your horse's needs. However, a good place to start with flaxseed meal is 2 ounces per day.

Beet pulp can be fed pound for pound the same as oats.
