Hi!! how are you? I have talked to you before about my 12 year old 17 hand TB. Since talking to you Ive switched his feed to Purina Ultium 7 lbs aday, alfalfa pellets, Glanzen, and Ration Plus. I just started him on the Glanzen and Ration Plus. You told me to start him on 2 tablespoons until I see results. I have seen results from the Glanzen, but he is pretty picky adding things to his feed. Will Ration Plus be enough to put weight on him? He gets worked 4-5 days a week. He is very fit. My vet says his weight is perfect, but I dont like seeing ribs. Thanks for your help!!! :)

Where are you from? Pa

Re: supplements

Hi Sherry,

Actually, I indicated only two teaspoons, not tablespoons, per day. It's not harmful to feed more, but it's not necessary.

The Ration Plus, along with the Glanzen, will boost his level of B vitamins, making his appetite improve. So, give it some time -- it can take a couple of months before you see significant weight gain. I would suggest that you weight tape him to get a baseline, so you can better judge how he's progressing.

Please keep me posted.

All the best,
