Probiotics after antibiotics?

One of my horses was on antibiotics for two weeks. I am wondering if he needs to be fed probiotics to reestablish the good bacteria in his gut? The hoof supplement that I feed (Masters Hoof Blend) includes a probiotic. Would that be sufficient? Thanks, Liz

Re: Probiotics after antibiotics?

Hi Liz,

You are wise to ask about this because a potent probiotic, one that contains CFUs in the billions, is very important when a horse has been on antibiotic therapy. The best one that I have have found is Daily Start.
