Which feed?

Hi I have a 15 year old saddlebred/shire cross that is a pretty easy keeper. Currently, he is on an 11% grain and I supplement with Reitsport. I would like to switch to a Triple Crown feed but do not know which one to choose. I board so I do not know hay quality analysis. Should I go with Complete? Senior? Low starch? Or Safe Starch?

Thanks for your help

Re: Which feed?

Hi Elly,

I would go with the Triple Crown Low starch since he does not need to gain weight, the low starch level is healthful, and you're providing Reitsport, which is flaxseed-meal based.

All the best,

Re: Which feed?

Thanks so much for the help

Is there a good vitamin/mineral that goes along with the low starch and Reitsport?

Thanks again!

Re: Which feed?

Hi Elly,

If you're feeding Reitsport, you do not need anything else. Reitsport is a complete product, along with a full complement of vitamins and minerals.

All the best,
