Deworming

I was wondering How often and with what I should deworm my horse. He is 24 years old and is in a pasture by himself 24/7. I live in Indiana. What is your advice on how to deworm my horse? Thanks.

Re: Deworming

Hi Kristina,

I would recommend a daily wormer and then paste worm with ivermectin in the fall (to get rid of bots) and with an ivermectin/prazaquantel combination in the spring (to protect against tapeworms).

All the best,
