feed and supplement balance

Dr. Getty I am the lady with Varney. I feed my horses ProAdvantage Grass Formula Pellet. It isn't sold here in Louisiana but a man from texas services this area.

I told him about trying the supplement I bought, Quiessence, to help the cresty neck on Varney. He was not aware of Quiessence so he said if I did, I might ought to stop the proadvantage or half it for awhile while I try the supplemnt, for fear of overdosing her on something.

Do you think this would be a problem?

the site is www.prognutrition.com

I didn't see anything on bag to conflict but he does have me worrying. Any suggestions welcome.

Re: feed and supplement balance

Hi Pat,

I took a look at the analysis of this feed, and it does not list magnesium or chromium -- the two main ingredients in Quiessence. So, there is absolutely no problem in feeding Quiessence along with this feed.

So, you do not have to reduce the amount you're feeding. It's always best to check, so I'm glad you wrote!

All the best,
