Iron Overload

Is there a protein/mineral/vitamin supplement on the market that isn't overloaded with Iron???

Beause of where I live, there is more than enough iron in the pasture/hay - enough that the iron levels far exceed the NRC requirements.

Thanks,

Tara

Re: Iron Overload

Hi Tara,

Forage already contains iron, so most horses do not require additional amounts of this mineral. So, yes, there are several multiple vitamin/mineral products that do not contain iron. Depending on the circumstance, you can go with PreOx, or Glanzen Complete, or Reitsport.

Thanks for asking about this important issue.

All the best,
