Continued use of Quiessence

Is there any reason to stop feeding Quiessence? 1 mare has been on it for 18 months, the other about 6 months. Should I "wean" them off or what? Perhaps can/should leave them on it?

Thanks.

Re: Continued use of Quiessence

Hi Penny,

I addressed your question in an email, but for the benefit of my readers, here is what I wrote:

"The therapeutic dosage is 1 ounce per 250 lbs of body weight. But, once you get the results you are looking for, you should decrease it to 1 ounce per 500 lbs of body weight. Weaning is not necessary; you can reduce it right away without doing it gradually."

All the best,
