Hello Dr. Getty, have you any experience with hemp? I have heard that the seeds are very nutritiuos to horses, full of EFAs as well as protien. What is your view?

Re: Hemp

Hi Zoe,

Hemp is a cannabis plant, related to marijuana and the seeds are just recently legalized in Canada for animal consumption. However, I cannot intelligently address the safety of their use. Perhaps you have some information you can send me and I'll be happy to look it over.

All the best,

Dr. Getty
