epm future

My 7 year old mare has been treated for epm twice now. Fall 2007 28 day treat and fall 2008 56 day treat. In my continued search for answers I found Paranex. Do you know what this is, no apparent technical info available online? And what is your experience for chronic epm horses and care of them? She appears to be doing well presently but I'm concerned about the future and am looking for all the help she can get. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: epm future

Hi Nan,

I do not have experience with this product, so I would suggest that you consult with your veterinarian and others who have used it.

My approach with EPM is to boost the immune function as much as possible. I do this with large dosages of Vitamin E, antioxidants, and CoEnzyme Q10.

If you would like me to take a closer look at your horse's situation, please consider a personal phone visit. That way I can go over the big picture and provide you with a customized feeding approach to improve your horse's overall quality of life.

All the best,
