Beet Pulp

How can I get my horses to eat beet pulp? Only one out of my 6 ate it (it is a base for supplements). This is my first time using it - soaked them in a bucket of water - wow, they expand - the spooned some into the bowls - pretty wet. How do I know how much to give?

Re: Beet Pulp

Figured it out! Less water - my ratio was way off. I'm now doing 1 part pellets to 5 parts water.

Re: Beet Pulp

Hi Christy,

Yes, it takes some trial and error to get the right mixture. And, some horses like it more soupy, while others like it less moist.

Good job!
