rice bran replacing Strategy grain

I was wondering if I could replace my strategy grain with rice bran to give to my jumpy horse who needs to keep his weight up.

Re: rice bran replacing Strategy grain

Hi Jana,

Rice bran is preferable to Strategy because is it lower in starch, as I mentioned in the previous posting about his behavior.

But, get a good vitamin/mineral supplement that also contains flax, such as Glanzen Complete.

And please get him all the hay he wants -- even if you have to haul it in yourself -- he will be a different horse when he's fed in line with what nature intended.

All the best,
