Followup on Glanzen question

Re: Question about Glanzen Complete

Hello Dr Getty,

You ask me what form of zinc and copper I used.

I use polyzinc and polycopper (both polysaccharide) from

http://www.uckeleequine.com/buy/polycopper1/

I add 310mg of polycopper and 670mg of polyzinc to help ratio because of 1139mg of iron daily, according to hay analysis x the pounds I feed. If my math is correct, that brings to Fe:Cu:Zn ratio from 9.5:1:4.6 (using my analysis copper/zinc numbers) to 3:1:3 with my target, in a perfect world, being 4:1:3. The new ratio betters the odds of the right amount of copper and zinc being absorbed. I know since I've started this my coat on my black mare no longer bleaches out during the summer, which is another indicator that the mare might not have been absorbing enough copper/zinc from her diet.

If I have figured all this wrong, please let me know.
