Re: Gelding urinating on my mares food

Hello Taunya,

It is very common for horses to urinate on hay that is on the ground. So if you find that a lot is being wasted, it is best to use some form of container, hay net, or feeder that minimizes the amount on the ground.

There are many from which to choose -- keep me posted.

I got a new gelding several months ago, and he pees on my mares food. I try to "free feed," but he urinates on all the piles!! What to do??
