Re: Uveitis

Hello Julie,

I have had several uveitis cases this year and have had good results with the following supplemental regimen:

1)Antioxidants -- SuPer Antioxidant to help reduce the damaging effect of free radicals formed.

2) Extra Vitamin E to bring total up to 7,000 IU per day -- add SuPer E Natural provides 1,000 IU per scoop. Use it to supplement the SuPer Antioxidant.

3) Vitamin C -- 15,000 to 20,000 mg per day. C-442 offers vitamin C in a buffered form.

4) MSM -- MSM to ease inflammation.

5) Omega 3 fatty acids in the form of ALA and fish oils (DHA and EPA): Kaufmann's Omega-3-F is a new preparation that I find especially useful for easing inflammation and helping the body heal.

This is a very aggressive approach and basically uses nutrients in a pharmacological manner to aid in healing. There may be other supplements, depending on the specific horse. For that reason, you may wish to consider a personal phone visit.

Please keep me posted.

All the best,
