It looks as though the Town of Hammonton has received approval to go ahead and seek bids for the demolition of Tom Skinner's Racing and Glass Factory.
The building has over 100 years of history, which included employees who worked at the glass factory for over 80 years, and the many racing enthusiasts that have dealt with Tom during his many years with Hoosier and his racing equipment.
But the biggest single item that sits in my garage is the last of the 36 Chevy coupes, that had my son CJ not pushed me to get it done in 2005, would too have been lost in the fire that destroyed Tom's second home. And let's not forget that 1952 Chevy Race Car Hauler that John Lyon's now owns. It too would have been lost in that horrible fire.
