I remember when the pilot concerned, Roy Lawrence, arrived on 29(F) after getting shoed out of RAFG. Yer typical, arrogant, scarf wearing Rodney.

we used to take the noddy caps off and polish the heads while he was doing his walk round. he didnt see the funny side though.

I think it was "Porky Jones" who strapped him in on APC shortly after arriving on 29(F) and reported that th red tape was ripped from the trigger and thrown out of the cockpit in an extreme show of arrogance
